This paper takes a look at Radio Biafra and its connection with Propaganda using Cyprian Ekwensi’s Survive the Peace for critical analysis. The paper concludes that Radio Biafra was a propangada device used by the the Biafran Government to deceive the Easterners. The broadcast media called Radio Biafra was meant to control the mind of the Easterners to remain loyal to the government that was led by Colonel Odumegwu Ojukwu.Consequenly millions of lives were lost in the Nigerian civil owing to the propaganda broadcast on Radio Biafra. Hence, Radio Biafra to the Nigerian government is both a propaganda and pirate channel. The media (Radio Biafra) which is an information tool has contributed immensely to this revival in that it was adopted to propagate the ideology of the former secessionist Republic of Biafra. This is also coming on the heels of such artistic works like Chinua Achebe’s There was a Country and Chimamanda Adichie’s Half of a Yellow Sun. The re-emergence of Radio Biafra in Nigeria has thrown up many unresolved questions relating to the civil war and the plight of the Igbos (Easterners). A major task of this study is to offer a pacifist perspective on the author's work taken as a whole and on the overtly pacifist works in particular. The pacifist side to Huxley's writings has been relatively neglected by scholars, compared to the wealth of research on the prophetic qualities of his dystopian novel Brave New World and its utopian counterpart Island, and also on his non-fiction dealing with the psychedelic experience (The Doors of Perception, etc). The introduction of relevant biographical details is necessary for the fuller understanding of Huxley's treatment of what is ultimately a personal ethical belief. The author's personal involvement with the peace movement will also be investigated, particularly his involvement with the British pacifist organization, The Peace Pledge Union. These will be clearly defined and compared to the ones offered by Huxley. Pacifism as an ethical system covers various beliefs and commitments. Pacifism is an ethical principle and therefore the broader subject of this essay will be the different rhetorical approaches to ethics. In this essay, I will contrast the two approaches and discuss the main arguments for pacifism presented by Huxley. In philosophical works like Ends and Means and Science, Liberty and Peace, Huxley builds a case for pacifism using non-fictional, argumentative explication.

In the novel Eyeless in Gaza, the author offers a strong argument for pacifism using the narrative form and its characteristic features (characters, plot, setting, structure). The aim of this essay is to explore Aldous Huxley's defense of pacifism in both fiction and non-fiction.
